How to divide white palm flowers into pots, when and how to divide them into pots

Time to divide white palm flowers into pots

It is more suitable to repot the white calla lily in May and June, when it will be least damaged. After repotting, the seasonal temperature is just right, allowing it to quickly adapt to the pot and grow and bloom.

The correct way to divide the white palm flower pot

1. Remove from the basin

Before removing the white calla lily from the pot, water it less. After removing it from the pot, clean the soil around the roots, rinse it with water, and cut off the old and rotten roots.

2. Planting

Place the plant in a planting pot and secure it. If you want to grow it hydroponically later, add some stones to the hydroponic container and then put the plant in.

3. Soil culture

If you want to grow the plant in soil later, you need to prepare new soil that is loose and well-drained. You also need to prepare a larger flowerpot and put the plant in it. You can bring some old soil with you so that it can better adapt to the new environment. Then fill it with new soil, water it thoroughly, and keep it under scattered light.

White Anthurium division and repotting

1. Division

Before dividing the plant into pots, you should take the whole plant out of the original pot, clean the soil, then clean the roots and cut it into two or three plants.

2. Planting

Prepare suitable flower pots and soil in advance. You can add leaf mold, peat soil and perlite to the soil for a mixture. Plant the divided plants in the pots separately, place them in a well-ventilated, semi-shaded place without strong light, and wait for the root system to recover.

Things to note when transplanting white palm flowers

1. When dividing the plant, you can apply wood ash, sulfur powder, etc. on the wound, and dry it in a well-ventilated place for 3 to 7 days. After the wound heals, you can put it in the pot. It is also necessary to trim the old and rotten roots, which is good for the growth of the plant.

2. Leaf mold is the best. Flowers are mainly grown on leaf mold. You can add a little red soil and sand. If there is no leaf mold, find some more leaves, dry and crush them, and mix them into the soil.

3. It is normal for the white calla lily to wilt after being repotted. You don’t need to worry too much if it hasn’t fully adapted to the pot yet. However, if it cannot recover after a long time, you should pay attention to changing the management method.

4. White calla lilies like a humid environment, but be careful not to overwater it. If there is waterlogging in the soil, move it to a well-ventilated place and let it get more sun. Reduce the amount of water in the later stage. In addition, pay attention to temperature control at this time. The temperature should be between 20-28 degrees, not too low or too high.
