How to grow Sansevieria and how to grow it

Cultivation method of tiger lily

Tiger Piranha likes warm and humid environment, is light-loving and shade-tolerant, and is not demanding on soil. It is suitable for planting in sandy loam with good drainage. The growth temperature is between 20-30 degrees, and the wintering temperature is 10 degrees. How long it takes for it to bloom depends on the maintenance method. If it is properly maintained, it will only take about 3 months to bloom.

1. Lighting

Tiger Piranha is a shade-tolerant plant, but if you want it to bloom out of the pot, you need to provide sufficient light, which can speed up its growth. If it is not exposed to light for a long time, the leaves will grow wildly, it will be difficult to bloom and the color will be dull.

2. Watering

Sansevieria likes a humid environment. It needs to be watered in time during the growth period to keep the soil moist. This can meet the growth needs of the plant. Generally, wait until the soil in the pot is dry before watering. The amount of water should not be too much, and water accumulation should not occur.

3. Fertilization

Although Sansevieria does not have high requirements for fertilizer, if you want it to grow out of the pot, you must apply thin fertilizer frequently and add a certain amount of base fertilizer when potting. During the period of vigorous growth, you can apply fertilizer once every 30 days. You can choose compound fertilizer.

Precautions for the maintenance of tiger lily

The growth rate of Sansevieria is relatively fast, and its branches and leaves grow vigorously. At this time, it should be pruned, and the aging leaves and overly dense areas should be cut off. In addition to promoting growth, it can also increase light transmittance.

Generally, the pot of Sansevieria needs to be repotted every two years. Fertilizer should be added to the new soil to provide it with the necessary substances for growth so that it can grow better. Every time the pot is repotted, the roots that are too long or rotten can be trimmed to promote better growth of the plant.
