The main value of five-color plum

The main value of five-color plum: ornamental

Nowadays, people live in an age where appearance matters. The same is true when flower lovers buy flowers. They will only take flowers home that are attractive and can attract people. Then the ornamental value of flowers is the first thing to consider.

The five-color plum blossoms are beautiful, with a long flowering period, green trees and lush flowers that are gorgeous all year round. They are resistant to dust and pollution. They can be planted in parks and courtyards in South China as flower hedges and flower clusters, and can also form green cover vegetation on both sides of roads and in the wilderness. Potted plants can be placed in front of the door, in the living room, etc. for viewing, or they can form flower beds.

The young branches of the five-color plum are soft and suitable for making bonsai in various forms. It can be processed into bonsai in different forms such as single-trunk, double-trunk, water-facing, and slanted-trunk. The leaves of the five-color plum are relatively large, and the crown of the tree often adopts a casual natural shape, but it can also be deliberately tied into a round shape.

Because of its rapid growth, strong germination ability and resistance to pruning, the shaping method should be mainly pruning, supplemented by winding and pulling; the branches of the five-color plum are straight and without posture, and can be bent with metal wire. The Lingnan School's "cutting the trunk and storing branches" technique can also be used to create the shape.
