How to plant crabapple seeds

Begonia seed planting time

It is necessary to choose the right time to plant crabapples. Spring and autumn are more suitable seasons. Spring can be done in April and May, and autumn can be done in August and September. However, the climate in each region is different. Planting can be done earlier in the south and later in the north.

Begonia seed planting method

1. Select seeds: Before planting crabapples, you must select suitable seeds. The seeds used must not be old seeds. The fresher the seeds, the higher the germination rate and the better the growth condition.

2. Choose soil: Begonia is suitable for planting in soil with good air permeability. If the soil is not suitable, it will hinder seed germination. You can mix garden soil and leaf mold and apply some farmyard manure to improve soil fertility.

3. Wake up the seeds: soak the seeds in clean water, remove the rotten seeds and empty shells, take out the seeds and put them in moist gauze, change the water every day, and wait until the seeds turn white before planting.

4. Start sowing: After the crabapple seeds turn white, you can plant them in the soil with the white part facing upwards, and cover them with a thin layer of soil. The soil should not be too thick, about 1 cm will be enough, and just keep the soil moist.

Matters Needing Attention in Daily Management of Begonia

1. Light: Begonia likes places with plenty of sunshine and cannot tolerate shade. It needs to be placed in a place with good light conditions. However, when the light intensity is high in summer, it is necessary to provide appropriate shade to avoid sunburn on the flowers and leaves.

2. Water: Begonia likes a humid growing environment. Water it frequently during the growth period to keep the soil moist. Water it in the morning and evening in summer, do not water it when it is cold in winter, and control watering in the rainy season to avoid water accumulation and root rot.
