How to change hydroponic Monstera to soil culture

How to change hydroponic Monstera to soil culture

1. Take out and clean

First take the hydroponic plants out of the container, and then wash them in clean water. Because the roots are mixed with a variety of impurities and various residues, wash them with clean water first to avoid problems when planting them in the soil. The roots may degenerate in water and need to be processed with scissors. First, cut off the dead and rotten roots, and trim part of the densely growing root system. Mix carbendazim with clean water to make a solution, soak the roots in it for about half an hour, and then place it in a ventilated place to dry.

2. Prepare the flower pot

The first requirement for a flower pot is that it is breathable. You can choose a clay pot or a ceramic pot, and there should be a drainage hole at the bottom to facilitate the drainage of water. The size of the flowerpot is determined according to the plant, and it can be matched with the root system and plant height.

3. Prepare the potting soil

The potting soil can be prepared with garden soil, sandy soil, and leaf mold, which can ensure breathability and nutrition. A little bone meal should also be added to the bottom of the flowerpot.

4. Planting in pots

First fill the flowerpot with a layer of soil, place the processed Monstera in the middle of the flowerpot, use one hand to straighten the planting, slowly fill it with soil to make the loam fit the roots better, and gently press the soil to make it firm. After potting, water it thoroughly and place it in a place with scattered light.
