Can arrowroot be hydroponically cultivated? Hydroponics methods and steps

Can arrowroot be grown hydroponically?

Arrowroot can be grown in water. It is better to grow arrowroot in water than in soil, because it is more ornamental, clean and easy to manage at home, and suitable for decoration at home. Soil cultivation is relatively troublesome to manage, and attention should be paid to soil replacement and insect pests. It is easy to dirty the home environment when it is cultivated indoors.

Methods and key points of hydroponic cultivation of arrowroot

1. Before hydroponics, sterilize the glass container of arrowroot, then select healthy plants and put them into clean water close to the ambient temperature for cleaning to remove the dirt, dead leaves and rotten roots stuck to the roots.

2. Soak the cleaned arrowroot roots in a potassium permanganate solution for about an hour. This will help it grow new roots sooner. Then take them out and rinse them with clean water.

3. Then fix it in the container so that 1/3-1/2 of the roots are exposed to the air, and then pour a certain proportion of compound flower fertilizer into the water, and the hydroponics of arrowroot will be successful.

Precautions for growing arrowroot in water

1. Diffused light exposure: Generally, water-cultured arrowroot can be exposed to diffuse light, but it must not be exposed to direct sunlight, especially in the summer, otherwise the leaves of the arrowroot will dry up and turn yellow, and even die.

2. Spray water frequently. When hydroponically cultivating arrowroot, you should always pay attention to the indoor air humidity. When it is too dry, you should spray water on the leaves of the arrowroot frequently, which can make its leaves appear greener.
