Oat Growing Conditions

1. Temperature conditions: Oats are not very cold-resistant and prefer a cool climate. They are more suitable for planting in the temperate northern region. Its seeds can germinate in an environment of 2-4 degrees.

2. Water conditions: Oat seeds require more water when germinating, which is approximately equivalent to 65% of their own water. Its transpiration rate is large, so the water consumption is also large.

3. Soil conditions: Oats are more suitable for growing in soil rich in humus and need a certain amount of moisture, which is more conducive to its growth.

Oats prefer a high-altitude, dry climate environment and generally grow in areas with higher altitudes. The annual sunshine time exceeds 3,000 hours. During the growth process, they require a large temperature difference between day and night and a sufficient water environment, especially during the seedling and growth periods.

How to grow oats

1. Site selection and land preparation: Oats have strong adaptability and are suitable for planting in soil with deep soil layer, flat terrain, loose and fertile soil. The soil needs to be deeply turned over and cultivated before planting.

2. Seed treatment: Oats need to use high-quality varieties with strong adaptability and disease resistance. The seeds need to be exposed to the sun before sowing. This can increase the germination rate and avoid diseases and pests.

3. Planting: It is best to sow oats in March or April. Pay attention to the density and sow evenly. The land should be harrowed after sowing.
