Jade leaf flower growth habits

Jade plant likes warm and humid environment, is drought-resistant but not water-resistant. Although it can grow in a dark environment, the distance between the nodes will become longer, reducing its ornamental value. It is not resistant to strong light exposure and needs shade in summer.

Jade flower cultivation method

1. Temperature

Jade plant is suitable for growing in a warm environment. During maintenance, the temperature should be controlled between 15-25 degrees, so that it can grow faster. In addition, its cold resistance is relatively weak, so the temperature should be maintained above 10 degrees in winter to prevent it from freezing.

2. Lighting

Jade plant is suitable for growing in places with plenty of sunlight, so that the edges of its leaves will have a red blush, which is very beautiful. If it is not exposed to the sun for a long time, its leaves will be dull and lifeless. However, it needs to be shaded at noon in summer to prevent it from being sunburned.

3. Flower soil

To grow Jade Plants, you need to use flower soil with good air permeability and containing certain nutrients. If you prepare it yourself, you can mix leaf mold and garden soil and add a small amount of river sand to reduce the occurrence of water accumulation.

4. Watering

The Jade Plant can be watered frequently during its growth period, as long as there is no water accumulation in the soil. In winter, the plant enters a dormant period, so you can water it less and keep the soil slightly dry to prevent it from freezing.

Precautions for the maintenance of Jade Flower

The soil of the Jade Plant needs to be changed every two years, usually in the spring of each year. When changing the soil, you should also check its root system and cut off the old and black ones. This can promote more vigorous growth of the Jade Plant and improve its ornamental value.
