When and how to plant carrots

Planting time for carrots

Small red radishes are generally sown in summer and autumn. In summer, they are sown from mid-to-late March to early April, and in autumn, they are planted in mid-to-late July. When sowing, it is necessary to do so in sunny weather.

How to grow carrots

1. Seed selection and soaking: Before sowing radishes, you need to select suitable seeds and soak them in 37-degree warm water for about 12-16 hours. Then take them out and put them in a cool place to dry, which is conducive to later germination.

2. Land preparation and fertilization: Small red radishes are more suitable for growing in loam with deep soil and good drainage. In order to make it grow better, deep plowing is required and sufficient base fertilizer should be applied. Decomposed organic fertilizer can be used.

3. Sowing: After processing the seeds of small red radish, you can sow them. Be sure to sow them evenly. You can add some sand into them. After sowing, you need to water them appropriately to keep the soil moist.

Small carrot planting precautions

After sowing the small red radish, there must be a suitable moisture environment. Its germination speed is relatively slow, so some weeds will often grow around it. It is necessary to spray pesticides in time to remove them, and appropriate topdressing should be carried out to allow it to have plenty of nutrients for growth.
