Fruit cucumbers are adaptable to a wide range of environments and can be planted in spring, summer and autumn, specifically between March and August, as long as the temperature can be kept above 18 degrees. If grown in a greenhouse, they can be grown all year round.

1. Fruit cucumbers are suitable for planting in loose, fertile, well-drained soil. Loosen the soil in advance and apply some well-rotted base fertilizer to improve soil fertility.

2. Soak the fruit cucumber seeds for about 6-8 hours, then sprinkle them evenly on the prepared soil, cover them with soil, and leave a 2 cm layer of soil. Then water them. Be careful to keep the soil moist and maintain the temperature at 18℃-25℃. They will generally germinate in 7-15 days.

3. Fruit cucumbers can be transplanted when the seedlings reach 25 days old, keeping a certain distance between them. When they grow to a certain height, you can use wooden sticks or bamboo poles to build a frame so that the fruit cucumbers can grow upwards and are easier to pick.

Precautions for planting fruit cucumbers

During the growth period of fruit cucumbers, pay attention to water and fertilizer management. Water them in time after the soil is dry, and water them thoroughly each time to avoid water accumulation. In addition, apply thin liquid fertilizer once every 20 days to ensure good growth.
