Can I keep the small buds grown by the Master plant alive if they are knocked off? (Propagation of new buds grown on the Master plant by cuttings)

Can the newly grown buds of the Master survive by cutting?

Although the main propagation method of the plant is cuttings, it has certain requirements for cuttings. Generally, one-year-old semi-lignified side branches or top leaf disks are the best.

Too tender buds are easily dehydrated during the process of cutting propagation. Moreover, because their stems have not yet hardened, they have a high water content and are prone to rot and waterlogging during the process of cutting propagation, making it relatively difficult for them to survive.

Therefore, when choosing cuttings, you should avoid small buds that are too tender and try to select some relatively strong branches to ensure a better survival rate.

Of course, some relatively precious varieties, such as Medusa, Ou Jiali, Hongyan, Ink Painting and the like, have not yet been popularized.

Don't give up easily on the small buds that you accidentally knocked off. You can try to use sterile substrate for cuttings or other common methods for grafting and propagation. It is still possible for them to survive, but the survival rate will not be as high as that of semi-lignified branches.

The young buds of the Master of Wood fall off when touched, which proves that the branches have a high water content, making them brittle and easy to break. Daily care can reduce the water content of the branches by increasing light, controlling water, and enhancing ventilation, thereby slowly improving the woodiness.

When the wood content of branches increases, their toughness will become stronger, and tender buds and side branches will not be easily knocked off or broken.

The Master Plant is easy to grow branches and grows relatively fast. Daily maintenance should maintain a balance of water and nutrients, and try to make it grow at a uniform speed. This can avoid branches of different thicknesses, green color, and lack of beauty.

Moreover, the leaf disk of the Master of Flowers has a certain phototropism. In a non-open-air environment, the direction of the flower pot should be rotated at regular intervals so that each branch can receive light evenly. Only in this way can an old bouquet with beautiful shape and compact leaf disk be grown!
