Long beans planting time

Long beans are generally planted in April and May every spring. They prefer a warm growing environment. The lowest germination temperature of seeds is around 10 degrees, so they must not be planted too early. Otherwise, if the temperature is too low, their germination speed will be slower and the germination rate will also be reduced.

Long bean planting method

1. Site selection and land preparation: When planting long beans, you need to choose a plot with deep soil, loose and fertile soil, and good drainage, and avoid continuous cropping. After selecting the plot, you need to apply sufficient base fertilizer to improve soil fertility.

2. Sowing and planting: Before sowing, the long bean seeds need to be exposed to the sun for 1-2 days and soaked in warm water for 5-6 hours. After the seeds have absorbed enough water, they can be sown. Sow 2-3 seeds in each hole.

3. Maintenance and management: After sowing the long bean seeds, they need to be watered in time to keep the soil slightly moist. When two rows of true leaves grow, thinning can be carried out and weak and diseased seedlings need to be removed.

Long beans are a light-loving plant, so when caring for them, they must have sufficient sunlight, which is extremely beneficial for their growth. After seedlings emerge, they can also carry out photosynthesis, allowing them to have sufficient nutrients for growth and development.
