Cucumber planting time

Cucumbers are generally planted between March and April in spring or August and September in autumn. The temperature in these two periods is more suitable, which is conducive to seed germination. Because its seeds prefer a warm climate environment, they can germinate better after planting.

Cucumber planting method

1. Prepare the land: It is best to plant cucumbers in a place with sufficient sunlight and convenient drainage. In order to promote its better growth, sufficient farmyard manure needs to be spread on the land to improve the fertility of the soil. After fertilization, the land needs to be plowed.

2. Seed germination: When sowing cucumbers, you need to use relatively full seeds and soak them in water for about 24 hours to allow them to absorb enough water so that they can germinate better.

3. Sowing in the soil: When sowing cucumbers, you can use the direct sowing method. Put 3-4 seeds in each hole. After sowing, you need to cover the soil and spray water. It will germinate after 10 days.

Things to note when planting cucumbers

During the growth period, cucumbers have a relatively large demand for fertilizer and water. Therefore, in order to promote vigorous growth, it is best to apply top dressing every two weeks. You can use decomposed organic fertilizer, and regularly pinch and top the plants to promote better germination of side branches.
