1. CuttingIt can be carried out throughout the growing season, and the chance of survival is highest from April to June. Cut off a 8-10cm long branch, preferably with 3-5 nodes, remove the leaves below, and mix well-rotted organic fertilizer into the cultivation medium. Then insert it about one-third of the way in. After the cuttings are completed, keep the inside moist and do not water too much to cause waterlogging. Pay attention to shade during high temperatures in summer. 2. DivisionThe division method can ensure the quality, but the fruit set is slightly lower. In mid to late March, when new shoots are just beginning to sprout, dig out the old plants, cut off the side buds with old roots, and then transplant them separately and take good care of them. 3. SowingThe sowing time is different in the north and south, in the north it is in spring, and in the south it is in August-September. Before sowing, apply well-rotted organic fertilizer to the loam and loosen the soil. Mix fine sand into the seeds and scatter them, cover them with 0.5 cm of soil, then cover with a shade net, water them thoroughly, and keep the temperature at 28 degrees Celsius. This method is relatively cumbersome, and the seeds are small and difficult to operate, so it is not commonly used in home breeding. |
