Cauliflower planting time

The planting time of cauliflower is determined according to different varieties. Early-maturing varieties are heat-resistant and suitable for planting in July in summer. Mid-maturing and late-maturing varieties are more cold-resistant and are best planted in early spring from February to May. The planting time is determined by the variety and local climate.

How to grow cauliflower

1. Soil selection

Before sowing cauliflower, you need to choose suitable soil, and choose soil that is rich in organic matter, loose and fertile as seedling soil. You can add some decomposed bean cake fertilizer to increase the fertilizer content of the soil.

2. Sowing method

The seeds of cauliflower can be sown directly without any treatment, but its seeds are small, so they should be broadcast evenly. They need to be covered with a thin layer of soil and watered once. They will germinate in about 3 to 4 days. If they are maintained in a greenhouse, the temperature and humidity in the greenhouse must be controlled well.

3. Post-maintenance

When caring for cauliflower in the later stage, you can provide it with inorganic fertilizers rich in mineral content to increase the growth rate of the plant. You can also water it with nutrient-rich river water or natural water in time to keep the soil moist, but do not water it frequently to avoid water accumulation.

Things to note when planting cauliflower

Cauliflower likes a warm environment, and the suitable growth temperature is 20 to 25 degrees. It likes an environment with sufficient light. The plant grows strong with sufficient light. Cauliflower has a large demand for water, so the soil should always be kept moist. Cauliflower is a fertilizer-resistant vegetable and needs to be applied with fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in time. Pay attention to the principle of frequent application of thin fertilizers.
