Cultivation methods and precautions of cold-region roses

Cultivation methods and precautions of cold-region roses

1. Maintenance methods

1. Substrate selection: For soil requirements, choose relatively loose and well-drained soil. It can tolerate saline-alkali land and can be planted in plains, mountains, and desertified land.

2. Light management: Cold-region roses prefer an environment with sufficient light. They are not strict about light and can also accept a semi-shady environment, but good ventilation must be maintained.

3. Temperature management: It likes a cool and humid environment and can tolerate the cold. The lowest temperature can reach -49℃ without death.

4. Water management: Water should be supplemented according to the dryness and wetness of the soil. Cold-region roses can tolerate drought environments and should not be given water frequently. Excessive watering will cause waterlogging, root rot and plant death.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Overwintering: Cold-region roses can tolerate cold weather, with the lowest temperature reaching -49°C without dying, but they must maintain good light and not give them too much water.

2. Division: Cut 10cm of the roots from the cold-region rose seedlings, bury them in the soil, and give them water. They will germinate after half a month.
