The most suitable temperature for lentil growth is between 22℃-23℃. The sowing time will vary according to different regions and climates. It is generally sown in June in North China, while in the Yangtze River Basin it is generally sown from May to July. It can be picked after growing for 2 months.

1. Planting soil

When planting lentils, you need to choose suitable soil. Lentils are suitable for growing in soil that is rich in organic matter and has good air permeability. Therefore, when planting, you should use sandy loam or humus soil that is rich in trace elements and has loose soil, and renovate the soil before planting.

2. Select seeds

When planting lentils, you also need to choose seeds of good quality, choose seeds with full grains and not affected by diseases and insect pests. If the seeds are cracked, do not use them. After selecting, rinse them in water and pick out the bad seeds.

3. Planting method

After the seeds are selected, you can spray the inoculant so that they can grow better, and then sow them directly in the soil and cover them with a layer of fine soil. At the same time, after planting, you need to water the soil with an appropriate amount of water to keep the soil moist.

Lentils are suitable for growing in fertile and loose soil, so when caring for lentils, it is necessary to provide the plants with appropriate amounts of nutrients to increase the growth rate of the lentils. At the same time, it is also necessary to loosen the soil for the lentils regularly to improve the soil's air permeability. It is also necessary to provide the lentils with appropriate light to allow the plants to grow better.
