How to grow roses so they bloom

Rose flowering time

Roses usually bloom from April to September every year. The flowers on each branch will bloom in turn and last for about half a year. However, in some warmer places, they may bloom early and bloom in March. The colors of the flowers are brighter and they emit a rich floral scent.

How to grow and bloom roses

1. Light : Rose is a light-loving plant. It grows well under sufficient sunlight. The flower color is brighter after flowering, so there must be sufficient sunlight during the maintenance period. There is no need for shade during the growth period, which is extremely beneficial for flowering.

2. Water : Roses prefer a humid growing environment and need sufficient water from germination to flowering. During daily maintenance, they need to be watered appropriately to keep the soil moist, which is more beneficial for flowering. However, the amount of water needs to be reduced after flowering.

3. Nutrients : Roses like fertilizer and are relatively resistant to barrenness, so you do not need to apply fertilizer 1-2 times during maintenance. When it comes to the flowering period, you need to apply fertilizer 2-3 times a month, mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, which can promote bud formation and flowering. After the flowering is over, some compound fertilizers need to be applied.

4. Pest prevention : When caring for roses, there must be a good ventilation environment and proper pruning, which can reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests. After the occurrence, it is necessary to spray drugs in time for treatment.
