Why doesn't Christmas cactus bloom?

1. Inappropriate lighting

Reason: Many people think that the stronger the light, the more flowers it will bloom, but it is a short-day plant, and too long a light period is a burden to it. If the plant is exposed to sunlight for more than 10 hours a day, its buds will not form and it will not bloom. Or if there is strong electric light at night, it will also have an impact.

Solution: Provide appropriate sunlight according to the growth characteristics, but not for too long.

2. Large temperature difference between day and night

Reason: The temperature difference between day and night is too large, which can easily cause the buds that have just begun to form to fall off or be damaged, which will seriously affect flowering and prevent the flowers from blooming.

Solution: Pay attention to the weather conditions. The temperature will drop sharply from October to November in the autumn, so move it indoors in time for maintenance to prevent too large a temperature difference between day and night.

3. Temperature is too low

Reason: If the temperature in the room is too low, although flower buds will appear, they will not bloom.

Solution: Move the plant to a greenhouse for maintenance, keep the temperature above 10°C, and then return to normal maintenance after the plant recovers to normal.
