How to grow camellia so that it blooms

Camellia flowering time

Camellia usually blooms from October to May of the following year. The flowering period is relatively long, and the peak flowering period is generally around January to April. When blooming, the colors of the flowers are relatively diverse, and the number of flowers is also large, and there will be a floral fragrance. When managing the flowering period, there must be sufficient sunlight.

Camellia cultivation and flowering method

1. Light : Camellia is a light-loving plant, so it should be exposed to as much sunlight as possible during maintenance. If it is maintained indoors, it needs to be moved outdoors during the day and given sufficient light. Only in this way can it form flower buds and then bloom.

2. Water : Camellia prefers a humid growing environment, so it needs sufficient water, but the soil cannot be too moist. You can water it as much as possible in spring and summer, otherwise keep it in a dry state, and then reduce the water in winter.

3. Fertilizer : When caring for camellia, it is necessary to fertilize it in time to provide it with plenty of nutrients, otherwise it will be difficult to bloom. During the growth period, some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be applied appropriately, which is not only beneficial to growth, but also can increase the number of flowers.

4. Temperature : Camellia needs a suitable temperature environment during maintenance. The most suitable temperature for flowering is between 18-25 degrees. The maintenance environment must be kept warm, especially in winter. However, cooling work needs to be done in summer, otherwise it will affect flowering.
