How long is the growth cycle of a willow tree?

Willow growth cycle

The growth cycle of willow trees is about 60 days. The seeds can be harvested in April in spring. The seeds are buried in the soil and will then germinate. The lower part will take root downwards, and the upper part will emerge from the soil and grow upward. The plant will gradually become taller and stronger, and then grow branches and leaves, thus continuously metabolizing and growing.

Willow growth rate

Willow trees grow relatively fast. Their annual growth height varies in different places. Under good fertilizer and water conditions, they grow very quickly and can grow quite tall in a short period of time. Generally, the plant can grow to about two meters in height in a year.

Willow Growth Cycle Management

Temperature management: There is no frost damage when the annual average temperature is 2 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is minus 39 degrees Celsius.

Fertilization management: Generally, nitrogen fertilizer is applied once in spring, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is applied once in summer to make the flowers flourish and the leaves luxuriant. Before winter, organic fertilizer for wintering is applied once, mainly decomposed cake fertilizer and stable manure. Avoid concentrated fertilizer, especially feces and urine. It is better to apply topdressing in late May, mid-June, early July, late July and early August. The first time, 20 kg of urea per mu, the second time, 25 kg of urea, the third time, 35 kg of urea, and the fourth time, 40 kg of compound fertilizer containing 15% each of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Fertilization can be combined with weather and watering. Generally, watering should be done 4 to 5 days after fertilization.
