1. Select the cuttings

Choose a well-growing, healthy and plump old leaf from a healthy cactus plant, gently pick it off and place it in a ventilated and semi-shaded place for maintenance. Wait until the wound is completely dry before planting.

2. Choose flower soil

Cactus is more suitable for growing in loose sandy soil. You can use a mixture of leaf mold and fine sand, which is more conducive to the rooting of the plant.

3. Take cuttings

Put the flower soil into a well-ventilated flowerpot, wet the soil, insert the dried leaves with the wound facing downwards into the soil, and then gently compact the surrounding soil.

Maintenance matters after cactus cutting

After the cactus is cut and watered thoroughly, it is placed in a relatively warm, ventilated environment with diffuse light and slightly shaded. During this period, the soil should be kept slightly moist, and it will take root after a period of time.
