When is the best time to trim Longsha Gemstone?

The Longsha Gem is generally pruned once in late December to prepare for entering a dormant state over the winter; it will grow flower branches in spring and summer, at this time, two or three buds should be retained and the rest should be cut off, and weak and diseased branches should also be removed; after flowering, the remaining flowers should be pruned in time.

Lonza Gemstone Pruning Tips

1. First, you need to choose a day with good weather and prepare a pair of sharp scissors that are easy to use.

2. After everything is ready, you should observe your flowers carefully. Don't worry about the shape first, just cut off the diseased branches, broken leaves, insect leaves, thin and weak branches, and all the unhealthy parts.

3. Prune the tertiary branches and some thin branches that grow from the main trunk. Reduce the top branches that are too long and affect the beauty by 5 cm to avoid the formation of a single branch that is too long and has uneven nutrition.

4. Finally, keep the thicker main branches, preferably smooth and neat, which is the plant we want.

Longsha Gemstone Trimming Notes

Light: Longsha Gem likes light and is suitable for growing in an environment with sufficient light and good ventilation. In spring and autumn, Longsha Gem can be given sufficient light; in summer, the light is too strong, so shade is needed to avoid strong light exposure.

Temperature: The temperature suitable for the growth of Rosa Gem is around 25 degrees, and the wintering temperature is above 18 degrees. When the summer temperature is higher than 35 degrees, Rosa Gem will grow poorly, and when the winter temperature is below 18 degrees, it is easy to be frostbite.

Water: In the early stage of flowering, Rosa Gem has a greater demand for water, but Rosa Gem is not tolerant to waterlogging and requires appropriate watering. During high temperatures or dry periods, it is necessary to increase the amount of watering and spray water on Rosa Gem.

Fertilizer: During the maintenance period, appropriate amount of fertilizer is needed. Fertilizers are mostly phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, which can promote the growth of flowers and make them open normally. When fertilizing, be careful not to make the concentration too high. After the Longsha Gem stops growing in winter, no fertilizer is needed.
