The seeds of passion fruit grow inside the fruit. The seeds develop from ovules. After the egg cell is fertilized by the sperm in the pollen, seeds are formed. They can be spread through animals or humans.

Passion fruit seed planting time

Passion fruit is planted in spring or autumn, but it is a tropical fruit. The most suitable growth temperature is 20-30℃, and the temperature of the planting environment should be above 0℃. It is not recommended to plant this crop in the north.

How to plant passion fruit seeds

1. Selection of potting soil

You can choose a larger plastic cup as a container, poke holes in the bottom of the cup, use garden soil as the substrate, and add an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer as base fertilizer.

2. Planting and germination

If you want the passion fruit seeds to germinate as soon as possible, you can soak them in clean water at 20-30℃ for about 5-6 hours, but the time should not be too long.

3. Sowing

Sow the treated seeds on the soil, cover with a layer of fine soil and wet gauze, water every 2-3 days, control the ambient temperature at around 25℃, and they will take root and sprout in about a week.
