How long is the tomato fruiting period? Fruiting period maintenance and management technology

How long does the tomato fruiting period last?

The fruiting period of tomatoes is generally from June to October every year. It takes about 15-30 days after flowering to bear fruit. From planting to fruiting, it takes about 2-3 months to grow, and goes through 4 stages, namely germination, seedling, flowering and fruiting. During the growth period, there must be reasonable water and fertilizer management.

Tomato ripening time

Tomatoes usually mature in summer or autumn, which is around June to November. Therefore, during this period, they must be watered and fertilized in a timely manner to ensure that they have sufficient nutrients and water for growth and development. They should also have a good ventilation environment and sufficient sunlight.

Tomato fruiting period care and management

1. After tomatoes bear fruit, temperature management needs to be strengthened. During the day, the temperature should be kept at around 28 degrees, and at night the temperature can be kept between 12-14 degrees. Appropriate pruning should also be carried out at ordinary times. Some excess fruits can be cut off to reduce nutrient waste.

2. Tomatoes have a relatively high demand for fertilizer, especially during the fruiting period, and need to be top-dressed in time. You can apply some organic fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer.

3. During the tomato fruiting period, you can spray potassium dihydrogen phosphate, macro-element foliar fertilizer, amino acid boron calcium fertilizer, etc. As the temperature drops, you must pay attention to preventing and controlling gray mold and other bacterial diseases.
