It is more suitable to be planted in sandy loam with deep soil, strong permeability, neutral and slightly alkaline, and it should have sufficient sunlight at ordinary times.

Astragalus can generally be sown in spring, summer and autumn. If planted in spring, it can be harvested in the same year, around early April. When it blooms, it is generally in June-July. After about 60 days after flowering, the seeds will reach maturity.
