Introduction to Lavender Growth

Lavender is suitable for growing in an environment with plenty of sunshine, heavy rainfall, loose and fertile soil, and rich in silicon and calcium. The main base for the cultivation and processing of lavender in China is in Tianshan Mountain.

Lavender growth cycle

Lavender likes dryness and requires sufficient sunshine during its growth and development period. It is a perennial plant with a growth period of 10-20 years. The growth period can be divided into germination period, growth period, flowering period and aging period.

Lavender growth rate

Lavender will germinate in about a week after planting, can be transplanted in about 4-6 months, bloom in about a year, and age in 8-10 years.

Lavender growth cycle management

Temperature management: Lavender can resist low and high temperatures. It grows best in an environment of 18-20 degrees, and its seedlings can withstand temperatures as low as -37 degrees Celsius.

Fertilization management : When repotting lavender, add base fertilizer. You can use some decomposed organic fertilizer as base fertilizer, and choose liquid fertilizer or granular compound fertilizer as topdressing. You don't need to apply too much topdressing, once or twice a month is enough.
