Introduction to Agarwood

Agarwood, which can be used for medicinal purposes, is a resin-containing wood of white agarwood. It is distributed in Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Fujian and other places. It can be divided into two categories: Hui'an agarwood and Xingzhou agarwood. The Hui'an agarwood has a fresh and elegant flavor, but the Xingzhou agarwood can be used for carving and has a wide range of households.

Agarwood is divided into Chinese agarwood, Cambodian agarwood, Indonesian agarwood, Vietnamese agarwood, Malaysian agarwood and Brunei agarwood according to its place of origin.

Agarwood planting conditions

Agarwood likes high temperature and humid environment, with an annual average temperature of 19-25 degrees, an average temperature of 13-20 degrees in January, and an average temperature of about 28 degrees in July. The temperature must not be lower than 1.8 degrees. The annual precipitation is best at 1600-2400 mm. It likes an environment with slightly higher air humidity, with a relative humidity of 80-88%.

Agarwood is suitable for planting on brick red soil or mountain yellow soil that is deep, rich in humus, moist and loose. It is distributed in Hainan, Yunnan, Taiwan, other areas of Guangdong and western Guangxi in China.

Agarwood planting time

Agarwood seedlings are suitable for planting in spring, specifically between March and April each year. When the temperature rises, the planting effect is better and they will sprout and take root soon.
