Jute Growth Conditions

Jute is an annual herb that is more suitable for growing in a warm and humid environment. It is a short-day plant and grows better in a hot and humid environment. Generally, jute is produced mainly in China, India and Bangladesh.

The most suitable growth temperature for jute is above 20 degrees. When the jute seeds germinate, the environmental temperature needs to be around 13-14 degrees. Jute is not cold-resistant and is very afraid of freezing. Generally, when the environmental temperature is too low, it will affect the normal growth of jute.

Jute Growth Period and Process

Jute generally grows in warm and rainy areas. Jute usually starts to grow in spring. Jute has a strong germination ability. Generally, its branches and leaves will grow rapidly in spring, and then it will have the opportunity to bloom and bear fruit.

Jute goes through the stages of germination, leafing, branching, flowering and fruiting in its entire growth cycle. Jute is a fiber crop with a wide root system and strong resistance to wind, sand and drought. Its growth reaches a peak in summer.

Jute Planting Process and Methods

1. Seed treatment: Soak healthy and plump jute seeds in clean water to germinate, remember to change the water during the period, and then take out and plant.

2. Prepare the soil: Choose loose and fertile soil for planting. The soil should also have good irrigation and drainage properties. Dry and disinfect the soil, then mix it with decomposed farmyard manure and set aside.

3. Planting: Plant the processed seeds in the soil. You can intercrop them. Then water them sufficiently after planting and wait for them to germinate.
