What fertilizer is best for longevity flowers

Fertilization time of Kalanchoe

Kalanchoe is generally fertilized in April and May in spring and September and October in autumn. In spring, the plants have just finished blooming and entered the growing season. At this time, the temperature is suitable, the climate is dry, and the sunlight is relatively mild. You can trim the remaining flowers and then supplement with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. In autumn, the plants are forming buds, so you should also apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to promote flower bud differentiation.

During the growing season of Kalanchoe, fertilizer is generally applied once every half a month, and top dressing is usually needed one week after it blooms to supplement nutrients to the plant.

What fertilizer to use for longevity flowers

Slow-release fertilizer can be applied as the base fertilizer for Kalanchoe, and foliar fertilizer can be used for topdressing during the growth period. During the flowering period, phosphorus fertilizer should be mainly supplemented. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be used, which is conducive to the flowering of Kalanchoe.

Fertilization method of Kalanchoe

Slow-release fertilizers can be buried in the soil, so that they will take effect slowly without causing fertilizer damage. Foliar fertilizers used for topdressing can be sprayed directly on the leaves to make them more shiny.

Precautions for fertilizing Kalanchoe

When caring for and fertilizing Kalanchoe, do not fertilize the plant if the surrounding temperature is higher than 30 degrees or lower than 5 degrees, otherwise fertilizer damage may occur easily.
