The seeds of carnation flowers grow inside the fruit. They can be harvested when the fruit turns yellow and withered. Just collect the black healthy seeds.

After collecting the carnation seeds, you can germinate them and take necessary warming measures. When the temperature is low at night, you can cover the soil with straw to germinate them.

Dianthus can be propagated by seeds. The best time to sow is between October and November in autumn. They will sprout about 10 days after sowing. If properly cared for, they will bloom in the second year.

1. Soil selection

Before sowing dianthus seeds, suitable soil should be prepared. The soil should be breathable, loose, and well-drained. It can be prepared with leaf mold, nutrient soil, or river sand.

2. Planting seeds in the soil

After preparing the soil, you can sprinkle the seeds directly on it, then cover it with a thin layer of soil, water the soil thoroughly to keep it slightly moist, then place it in a cool and well-ventilated place for maintenance, and wait for germination.
