Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves of jacaranda

Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves of jacaranda

1. Temperature discomfort

Reason: Frame wood has strong adaptability and does not require high temperature, but if the temperature is too high or too low in winter and summer, it will not be suitable for its growth. If the temperature is too high, it will easily get sunburned and wither, while if the temperature is too low, it will get frozen and the leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: If the temperature in summer is too high, over 35 degrees, you can shade it and move it to a place with scattered light. When the temperature drops below twelve degrees in winter, it can be moved indoors for maintenance to avoid frostbite.

2. Lack of water

Reason: Frame trees like a humid environment and are not cold-resistant, so the soil must also be moist enough. If it is not watered in time, the soil will become dry and the air humidity will be too low, which will cause it to grow slowly. When the water shortage is too severe, the branches and leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: Replenish water in time, increase the amount of water, water thoroughly, and spray water around the flower pot to increase the humidity in the air, create a relatively humid environment for it, and promote its recovery.

3. Insufficient lighting

Reason: The growth environment of jasmine requires sufficient light. Only warm sunlight can allow its photosynthesis to function normally. Without light, chlorophyll cannot be synthesized and the leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: Move it to a sunny place to promote its photosynthesis. Artificial lighting can be used in special circumstances. In addition, be careful to block strong light during high temperatures in summer.

4. Not enough fertilizer

Reason: The rapid growth of jacaranda requires certain fertilizers to provide sufficient nutrients. Only when the nutrients meet its needs can its branches and leaves grow fast. Without enough fertilizer, growth will become slow and the branches and leaves will gradually turn yellow.

Measures: Fertilizer should be added in time, and applied in small amounts frequently. When repotting it, you can apply some base fertilizer. In addition, you can apply cake water and fertilizer once in spring and autumn to promote its growth.
