When to prune the jasmine

When repotting and changing the soil in early spring, prune it again, leaving 15 cm to 20 cm high, which can make the plant more lush. After flowering, you can lightly prune the remaining flowers and inner branches.

After each flower fades, immediately cut off the remaining flowers and 1/3-1/2 of the long branches to make the branches more compact and beautiful. After the last flower fades in late autumn, leave 2 to 3 buds on each branch and cut off the rest of the branches so that it will be full of momentum by next spring.

After the mandarin duck jasmine blooms, the remaining flowers must be cut off immediately to avoid infection problems. It should be heavily pruned before winter. Each branch should have several small buds. Weak branches and pests and diseases should be cut off. Pruning will help growth after spring.
