Hydrangea prefers a dry growing environment. It is common in some valley streams or woods. It generally grows in areas with higher altitudes. Its origin is in Shandong, China. It is now widely planted throughout the country. It needs sufficient sunlight and good ventilation when caring for it.

When hydrangea is growing, the soil needs to be kept moist at all times. When it is being maintained, it needs short-term sunlight. And when it is planted, loose and fertile sandy loam needs to be used.

Hydrangea growing temperature

For hydrangea, the most suitable growth temperature is between 18-28 degrees. In winter, the temperature cannot be lower than 5 degrees. When flower buds are differentiating, the temperature needs to be kept above 5 degrees. A temperature of 10 degrees is conducive to flowering.

Hydrangea growth process

When hydrangea is being cared for, it will generally bloom in June and July. The flower color is white and will gradually turn pink or blue. The flowers will wither after a period of care. After that, it is necessary to water and fertilize in time to replenish the large amount of nutrients consumed by flowering, and pruning work should also be carried out.

When and how to plant hydrangeas

Hydrangeas are usually planted in the spring of each year, specifically from April to July. They are generally propagated by cuttings, as it is in the growth and budding season, which is more conducive to growth. When planting, loose, fertile, well-drained sandy loam is required, and watering is required in a timely manner during maintenance.
