Adzuki bean planting time and method

Adzuki bean planting time and method

Adzuki bean planting time

Adzuki beans are generally planted in May and June each year because they prefer to grow in a warm environment. After sowing, the temperature cannot be lower than 8 degrees, and when germinating, the temperature must be kept between 15-16 degrees, so they cannot be sown too early or too late.

Adzuki bean planting method

1. Choose varieties: Before sowing adzuki beans, you must first select suitable seeds. Excellent varieties are conducive to its growth and can also increase yields, so you should choose plump, brightly colored, and disease-resistant varieties.

2. Land preparation and fertilization: Adzuki beans have a relatively strong growth ability. If you want to increase the yield, you need to plant them in sandy soil that is convenient for irrigation and drainage, has strong water and fertilizer retention capabilities, and is rich in humus.

3. Planting method: When planting adzuki beans, ridge cultivation can be used. The seeds need to be sown at a plant spacing of about 12 cm, and the hole depth cannot exceed 4 cm. The sowing density must also be controlled, otherwise it will affect future growth.

Precautions for planting red beans

1. After the red bean seedlings grow out, thinning out needs to be done in time. Usually, the vigorously growing seedlings will be retained, and the weaker seedlings need to be removed.

2. When caring for adzuki beans, there must be sufficient nutrients, especially in the seedling stage, regular fertilization is required, and organic fertilizer can be used, which is more conducive to seedling growth.
