How to care for hydroponic dried plum

Dry branch plum hydroponic method

You can place dried plum branches at home, usually in the living room for maintenance. Generally, dried plum branches are maintained at home using the hydroponic method. Cut the bottom of the purchased dried plum branches obliquely, and then insert them into a vase with a longer neck. Finally, add 2/3 of water for maintenance.

Hydroponic dry branch plum cultivation method

1. Temperature: The most suitable temperature for dry branch plum is 16-32 degrees. The temperature is relatively high in summer, so proper cooling is needed. It is best to move it to a semi-shaded and ventilated place indoors for maintenance, which is helpful for the growth of dry branch plum.

2. Sunlight: Dry-branch plum likes sunlight and can be placed in the courtyard for maintenance. Ensure 5-8 hours of sunlight every day. The temperature is too high in summer and it cannot be placed under strong light. It can be moved to a shaded or scattered light place for maintenance.

3. Fertilizer : Dry-branch plum is relatively resistant to barrenness. Appropriate topdressing can be applied during the growing period to promote plant growth. Note that the concentration of the fertilizer should not be too high. It needs to be diluted with water before use. If concentrated fertilizer is applied, the leaves will turn yellow.

4. Flowering : There is no exact time for the flowering of dry-branch plum in hydroponics. If the surrounding temperature is maintained at around 10 degrees Celsius, the water quality is kept clean, and the water is changed in time, it will bloom within a week of hydroponics. If the surrounding environment is difficult to meet the requirements, the flowering time will be extended indefinitely.

Precautions for hydroponic plum cultivation

1. The flower shape of the dry-branch plum potted plant needs to be modified. When the branches are dense, they need to be pruned in time, cutting off the old branches, dead branches, diseased branches and messy branches at the bottom of the plant to promote the growth of side branches and enhance the beauty of the plant.

2. Dry-branch plums often suffer from diseases and pests during the maintenance process. For example, aphids and scale insects are common pests. In such cases, you need to use pesticides or solutions such as vinegar and laundry detergent to kill the insects.
