Soybean growth environment conditions and characteristics

Soybean growth environment conditions and requirements

Soybeans are actually soybeans, which are cultivated all over the world. The plants prefer a warm, humid and well-lit growing environment. They require more water and nutrients during the growth process, but they also have good adaptability to the environment.

Soybean growth temperature

The optimum growth temperature of soybeans is 20-25℃. The seeds will germinate when the temperature is above 12℃, and will bloom and produce pods when the temperature is above 20℃. The plant has poor cold resistance and will not bloom when the temperature is below 14℃.

Soybean growth humidity

Soybeans have high requirements for water. During the flowering period, the soil moisture content should be around 70%-80%. Watering should be done when the soil is dry and water should not be allowed to accumulate in the soil.

Soybean growing soil

Soybeans have shallow roots and prefer loose, organic-rich, slightly acidic soil with good air permeability and drainage. The soil pH value should be between 6-7.5, generally as long as it is not saline-alkali land.

Soybean growth cycle and process

The growth cycle of soybean is about 180 days. The growth of the plant will go through several stages including seed germination, emergence, branching, flowering, podding, and grain filling. The seeds can grow to 6-8 inches 25 days after germination and can bloom 40-50 days after germination.
