Generally, the most suitable growth temperature for tubers is in the range of 22-24 degrees, and the most suitable growth temperature for above-ground parts is in the range of 18-25 degrees.

Purple sweet potatoes do not have high requirements for humidity and generally prefer a dry environment. During the growth period of purple sweet potatoes, the moisture content of the soil can be within the range of 60-80%. Generally, newly planted purple sweet potatoes should not be watered.

The growth cycle of purple sweet potato is not very long. Generally, it only takes 4 or 5 months for purple sweet potato to mature. Purple sweet potato usually starts to be raised as seedlings in February during the vernal equinox. After the branches and leaves grow, they can be planted by leaf cuttings in April or May.
