Sophora japonica growth environment conditions and requirements

Sophora japonica, also known as locust tree, is native to my country and is widely planted in northern my country. It is often found in wastelands, roadsides, river banks, etc. It likes a warm, humid, well-lit growing environment. It likes sunlight and is slightly shade-tolerant.

Sophora japonica growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for Sophora japonica is 15-25℃. The plant has good adaptability to the environment and is relatively cold-resistant. It is not afraid of freezing and will not be frozen to death even in an environment of -30℃.

Sophora japonica growth humidity

Sophora japonica has relatively high requirements for growth humidity. The air humidity should be around 80%. When watering, it is required not to water unless the soil is dry, and water should not be allowed to accumulate in the soil.

Sophora japonica growing soil

Sophora japonica does not have high requirements for soil. It prefers loose, fertile, well-drained soil. You can choose sandy loam with convenient drainage and irrigation as the nursery land, and apply appropriate amounts of farmyard manure, cake fertilizer, and phosphate fertilizer to the soil.

Sophora japonica growth cycle and process

The growth of Sophora japonica goes through several stages: childhood, youth, adulthood and old age. The plant grows at a rate of about 1.5 centimeters per year. If managed properly, it can grow about 2-3 centimeters per year and has a lifespan of about 15-20 years.
