Environmental conditions and requirements for the growth of mugwort

Mugwort, also known as wormwood, is widely distributed in the world. Except for arid and high-altitude areas, it is almost found throughout the country. It is often found in wastelands, roadsides, riversides and other places. It likes a warm and humid growing environment.

Wormwood growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for mugwort is 15-25℃. The plant has good adaptability to the environment and can withstand both high and low temperatures. However, when the temperature is below -3℃, the perennial roots will not grow well.

Mugwort growth humidity

Mugwort has relatively high requirements for growth humidity. When watering, it is required not to water unless the soil is dry. Water must not be allowed to accumulate in the potting soil. If the soil is too wet, it will easily cause root rot of the plant.

Mugwort growing soil

Mugwort does not have high requirements for soil. It likes loose, fertile and moist soil. When preparing the soil, you can mix it with leaf mold, sandy soil and garden soil, and add an appropriate amount of base fertilizer.

Mugwort growth cycle and process

The growth cycle of mugwort is about one year. This plant grows very fast. It starts to sprout in March. The earliest harvesting time is late spring. It can be harvested once a month thereafter, and about 4-5 times a year.
