Honeysuckle growth environment conditions and requirements

The plant honeysuckle has strong adaptability to the environment and is not very demanding on soil and climate. It is often found in humid areas such as the banks of streams and rivers, moist hillsides, and sparse shrub forests. It prefers a moist, sunny growing environment.

Honeysuckle growth temperature

Honeysuckle has strong vitality and does not have high temperature requirements. It can withstand both high temperatures and severe cold. The lowest cold-resistant temperature is -40℃, and it will not be frozen to death even in the north during the winter.

Honeysuckle growth humidity

Honeysuckle mostly grows in areas with an average annual rainfall of about 1,000 mm. During growth, the air humidity should not be lower than 60%. When it is lower than 60%, the growth of the plant will be affected.

Honeysuckle growing soil

Honeysuckle is not very demanding on the soil, but it prefers moist, fertile soil. Sandy soil should be used as the main soil for planting. River sand, pine needles, and leaf mold can be used for potted maintenance.

Honeysuckle growth cycle and process

Honeysuckle is usually sown in April in spring. Under suitable temperature and humidity, the plant can take root in about 15 days. After 10 years, the diameter of the root system can reach about 300 cm. It is mainly distributed in 10-50 cm soil. It grows fastest from April to August.
