When should imported gladiolus be planted?

Imported gladiolus is mostly propagated by bulbs, and the time chosen is March to April in spring, because both the temperature and climate during this period are more suitable for plant growth, and the survival rate of planting at this time will be relatively high.

Planting time in the north and south: There is not much difference in the planting time of imported gladiolus in the north and south. They can both be planted in spring and the temperature can be controlled at around 20℃.

Greenhouse planting time: There is no fixed requirement for the planting time of imported gladiolus. If it is cultivated in a greenhouse, it can be planted at any time of the year.

Imported gladiolus origin and planting month

The origin of imported gladiolus is the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. It was later introduced into my country. The more common production areas include Liaoning, Fujian, Guangdong, Sichuan, Jilin, Yunnan and other provinces.

Liaoning Gladiolus

Liaoning gladiolus can be sown in spring and blooms from July to September. The plant has a large, flat spherical bulb and large flowers with high ornamental value.

Fujian Gladiolus

Fujian gladiolus can also be planted in spring. It takes about 60 days from sowing to flowering. The plant is short, with 3-5 flowers. The corolla is purple with a slight blush on it.

Pink Lady Gladiolus

Pink Lady Gladiolus can be planted in spring and usually blooms two months after planting. The flowers are pink and charming, and the color becomes lighter in the center of the flower.
