Cultivation methods and precautions for banyan bonsai

Cultivation methods and precautions for banyan bonsai

1. Flower soil

The banyan tree has good adaptability and is not picky about soil, so you can use ordinary flower soil to grow it. However, flower lovers who have the conditions are advised to use sandy soil with a certain degree of fertility to grow it, because this kind of soil is relatively loose inside and contains more nutrients, which can enable it to grow better.

2. Sunlight

It prefers light and should be placed in a place with certain light. This will allow its leaves to accumulate nutrients better, thereby enhancing its growth.

3. Ventilation

It likes places with good ventilation and does not like places that are too confined. When raising it, you should ventilate it more often, so that it can grow healthier.

4. Watering

When growing it, you need to water it regularly to keep its soil moist. This way it can absorb enough water and grow better. However, be careful not to allow water to accumulate in the soil. Otherwise, its root system will be damaged and its growth will be affected.

5. Fertilization

Generally speaking, as long as it is growing faster, it is sufficient to apply decomposed liquid fertilizer once a month. However, it needs to be fertilized with alum once in May and August respectively.

6. Notes

When it is growing vigorously, you can start pruning and shaping it. You can cut off unwanted side branches and fix other branches with wire to shape it.
