How to grow azalea in autumn

1. Watering time

The watering conditions for azaleas change greatly from summer to autumn. From July to September, water it once in the morning and once in the evening. However, in the autumn from mid-September to November, the weather will gradually become cooler. In order to increase its ability to resist the cold winter, the amount of water should be reduced appropriately, and it is generally chosen to water it in the early morning of the next day.

2. Reduce shading time

We all know that shade is needed in summer to block the strong sunlight. However, starting from September in autumn, the shading time can be shortened. At this time, the light in early autumn is still relatively strong, and you can block it from 10 am to 4 pm. Starting from October, it needs more sunshine.

3. Pruning

In this season, you can prune very long branches, and some diseased or weak branches also need to be cut off. This will reduce consumption and lay the foundation for future growth.

4. Control of nutrients

It likes fertilizer very much during the growth process and is still growing in the early autumn, so the application of nutrients is also very important.
