How to spread the seeds of Impatiens and how to plant them

1. How to spread Impatiens seeds

The way Impatiens spreads its seeds is quite special. It does not rely on animals, wind or water, but on itself. When its fruit is fully ripe, the peel will slowly curl inward, and then suddenly stretch outward with the help of its own power, so that the seeds inside will be ejected and fall to the ground nearby, and can continue to take root and sprout next year.

2. How to plant Impatiens

1. Prepare the land and make ridges: When planting Impatiens, choose fertile and loose soil and turn the soil over to make ridges first. In the north, it is enough to make flat beds, but in the south, the beds should be half a meter or one meter high and about one and a half meters wide. After that, you need to apply base fertilizer, which can be decomposed organic fertilizer. It can increase nutrients, shorten the dormancy time of seeds, and promote faster germination.

2. Sowing and planting: After the land is prepared, you can sow directly. Dig a trench about one centimeter deep on the ridge and pay attention to the row spacing, which should not be too dense. Then place the seeds in the trench and cover them with soil. Pay attention to the temperature in the later stage. It is best to keep it around 25 degrees and it will germinate soon.

3. Post-management: Observe the seedlings frequently during their growth period and remove weeds in time if found to avoid competition for nutrients and hindering growth. In addition, top dressing should be applied every 20 days or so so that it can grow more vigorously and bloom with sufficient nutrients.
