How to transplant succulents

How to transplant succulents

1. Preparation

1. Flower pot: First, prepare a new flower pot, which should be slightly larger in diameter than the original one. The bottom can be provided with holes for easy ventilation and water permeability.

2. Substrate: The substrate must also be suitable to help the plants adapt to the new environment faster. It should be loose, breathable and contain more nutrients. Before use, you can moisten it slightly, but not too wet.

2. Transplantation

1. First use a small shovel to dig out part of the soil, then remove the plant from the pot, being careful not to damage its leaves and roots.

2. After removing the plant from the pot, trim the roots appropriately, mainly removing the rotten roots. Let it hang in a cool place for a while until the wound is dry.

3. Then, use a shovel to fill part of the substrate into the new pot, paying attention to the height. Then place the succulent in the new pot, adjust its position, and then fill in the other part of the substrate from the side, pressing the soil down after filling.

3. Maintenance after transplantation

1. After re-potting, place it in a cool place away from light. After three or four days, you can provide diffuse light, preferably by placing it in a windowsill or other place.

2. After potting, pay special attention to the surrounding ventilation and temperature conditions.
