Rose cultivation methods and precautions

Rose cultivation methods and precautions

Roses are very easy to grow. Their roots have a strong ability to germinate and they can easily adapt to the environment. Roses are also very cold-resistant and heat-resistant, and they can grow naturally all year round in most outdoor areas of our country.

How to grow roses

1. Soil

When growing roses, it is best to use loose, fertile, well-drained soil. Garden soil, leaf mold, and coal slag can be used as culture soil for planting roses. You can also add decomposed organic fertilizer as base fertilizer to enhance the fertility of the soil.

2. Sunlight

Roses are relatively light-loving. When growing them, it is best to place them in the sun for 5-8 hours a day. In the hot summer, the plants need to be shaded, and it is better to grow them in semi-shade. During the growth period of roses, there is no need for shading. Adequate sunlight will make the plants grow more vigorously.

3. Water and fertilizer

Roses like a humid environment, and watering can follow the principle of not watering when the soil is dry and watering thoroughly when watering. Avoid stagnant water to prevent root rot and yellowing of leaves. During its growth period and seedling stage, fertilize once every 15-20 days to make it grow better.

Rose flower care precautions

When caring for roses, you should pay attention to pruning the remaining flowers after their flowering period, and remove rotten branches, overgrown branches, and diseased and old branches in time to ensure the healthy growth of the plant and promote the sprouting of new branches and leaves.
