How to grow snapdragon

How to grow snapdragon

1. Lighting

When caring for snapdragon, you need to be aware that it is a plant that requires strong light. There must be sufficient light throughout the growing process, so indoor cultivation is not recommended. If you grow it indoors, you need to place it on a south-facing windowsill or balcony so that the light can be slightly better, which is beneficial to its growth.

2. Soil

Snapdragon is not particularly demanding on soil; as long as it is loose, fertile and well-drained sandy soil, it can meet its needs.

3. Fertilization

The amount of fertilizer and whether it is fertile enough can determine the effect of the blooming of snapdragon flowers. But it can also grow normally in poorer environments.

4. Watering

Snapdragon has relatively high requirements for water and humidity, and requires more water, so keep the soil in the pot moist when watering. During hot seasons, pay attention to controlling the humidity on the surface of the potting soil, otherwise diseases will occur.

5. Fertilization

The fertilizer requirements of snapdragon are relatively moderate. Generally speaking, it should be given a thin layer of fertilizer and water once a week or about ten days during the maintenance season to meet its growth needs.

6. Temperature

Snapdragon prefers cool temperatures. If the temperature is too high, it will wither, turn yellow and rot. Therefore, they usually appear more frequently in the flower market in early spring.
