What to do if the leaves of hibiscus turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of hibiscus turn yellow

one. Too much water

Generally, we have to find out the reason when we solve the problem. The yellowing of leaves is likely because the owner irrigated the plant with too much water, keeping the soil in the pot too moist for a long time. The soil will lack oxygen and the roots will not be able to breathe, which can easily cause some roots to rot. The plant will not be able to absorb nutrients and water, and the leaves will turn yellow and fall off. Generally, this situation is manifested in that the tender leaves turn light yellow first, and then the older leaves turn yellow. At this time, we should control the water content, temporarily stop adding fertilizer, and loosen the soil to restore it to a breathable state.

two. Too little water

If it is not too much water as mentioned above, then it is possible that there is too little water and the plant is dehydrated. If you forget to water the plant or only water half of it for a long time, the top will be wet but the bottom will still be dry. This will greatly affect the plant's absorption of nutrients, and will also cause the leaves to become dull and lifeless, and the leaves will wilt downward. This situation is manifested in that the old leaves at the bottom begin to age first, and then the leaves from the bottom to the top turn yellow and wither. At this time, you should add water to it little by little, and let it gradually return to its normal state before watering it normally.

three. No Fertilizer

If you haven't added some ammonia fertilizer to it for a long time or haven't changed the soil in the pot for a long time, the ammonia and other substances in the soil will be lacking, and the leaves of the plant will become weak, thin and yellow. At this time, you should change the pot and soil in time, and then gradually add some fertilizer to it.
