How to grow lilies

How to grow lilies

1. Breeding methods

1. Flower pot: To grow lilies, you need to use a large enough flower pot, because its bulb is relatively large and the root system is relatively rich, so it needs to be planted deep. This will allow its roots to expand and absorb nutrients from the soil better.

2. Flower soil: To grow it, you need to use weakly acidic or neutral flower soil with good air permeability and high humus content. Do not use flower soil that is heavy or prone to water accumulation, otherwise it may affect the normal growth of the plant.

3. Light: It likes light very much, and it needs to be provided with full sunlight when it is cultivated. If there is insufficient light, it may affect its flowering and reduce the number of flowers.

4. Fertilization: It has a relatively high demand for flower fertilizer, especially potassium. Therefore, during the maintenance process, it is necessary to regularly apply some flower fertilizer containing potassium to supplement its nutrition.

2. Prune the remaining flowers

After it blooms, a small number of withered flowers will remain on the branches. Not only are they unsightly and affect the ornamental value of the plant, but they also consume additional nutrients from the plant. Therefore, they need to be cut off in time to allow nutrients to flow back to the bulbs, promote the development of the bulbs, and make the plants grow better.
